Exercise 1 - Triple J Logo

Triple J is my favourite radio station. I now live in Vancouver though so I don't get to listen to it as much unless I am online. Vancouver only has one really good station being CBC, but most of their content is current affairs stuff.

I miss Triple J's great music, commentary, personalities and general good humour. Whenever I see the logo, it reminds me of all these things.

In terms of aesthetics, I think the logo represents Triple J as being loud, young, fun, musical and it doesn't take itself too seriously. More importantly, the logo mark doesn't look commercial and has a kind of raw quality to it.

Exercise 1 - World Wildlife Fund Logo

The World Wildlife Fund's (WWF) Logo is powerful.

It represents endangered species, it represents habitat destruction and the Giant Panda is a cause with which people can relate because, in many ways, we see ourselves reflected in this creature's fragility.

I feel very strongly about WWFs conservation work. I donate to them and I keep abreast of their programs and messaging. I also wear my WWF sticker proudly on the back of my car.

On a pure aesthetic note, I think the simple black and white imagery of the logo is very arresting.

Heraldic Crests

My surname is 'Wongkaew'. It is Thai and Thai's don't have heraldic crests.
